CISF Announces New President!
I am pleased to announce that CISF has a new President. As of this month, Mr. Chuck Orrestad will assume leadership of CISF as our first full-time President. (As you may recall, Mike Woodruff served this role for 13 years in a part-time capacity and stepped down from the position this year because CISF’s continued growth made it difficult to lead while also serving as senior pastor of a large church in Illinois. Thankfully, he will remain on the Board of Directors and is strongly committed to the mission of CISF.)
Chuck is following God’s call to turn aside from a fruitful 30-year career in which he served as an executive in software, Internet and medical technology businesses. A Stanford graduate and father of four, Chuck has spent the last twenty years in the Seattle area where he has helped several companies capitalize on strategic opportunities and move into the next level of their business. We believe his leadership, expertise, and sense of God’s work in his life position him ideally to lead CISF as we move into an exciting new era of ministry.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, scholars and alumni, I ask you to join me in welcoming Chuck and praying for this transition. We see God’s hand at work in this, as an answer to our months of prayer together as a Board as we searched for our new leader.
We hope many of you will get the chance to meet Chuck and hear from him in the coming months. This is an exciting time for CISF – and for God’s church around the world. I have often said that CISF gives us a “front row seat” to the most amazing work of the Holy Spirit around the world. I am so thankful that God has brought Chuck to CISF at this time as we continue to press into the exciting call God has for this ministry.
