CISF SELECTION CRITERIA IS TOUGH…

Each scholar must:

1.    Be a proven leader from a majority world nation.

2.   Evidence deep faith in Jesus Christ.

3.   Have exhausted educational possibilities at home.

4.   Have a job waiting for them at home or a viable ministry plan –
one which demands advanced theological education.

5.   Be accepted into a program at a leading university or seminary.

EFFECTIVE SCHOLAR-LEADER RETURN IS KEY AND OUR CHALLENGE…

We only sponsor scholars who sign a covenant to return.
As part of that commitment they promise to repay their scholarship if they do not return.

To ensure effective re-entry, CISF is beginning to:

1. Help fund the return and re-settling of CISF families in their homeland.

2. Implement a four-way covenant involving the scholar, sending institution, educational institution and CISF. It involves regular interaction and an extended return trip half-way through their studies for the scholar to teach and work, and maintain relationships.
