Joanna Felicano-Soberano, Philippines

Focus of Studies: Johanna’s work focuses on the challenge of teaching the truth of Christianity in the increasingly postmodern context of Asia which already has a very diverse religious landscape. She will be the first resident faculty member for Education at ATS in Manila.

About Joanna: Joanna's PhD program at Trinity is in Educational Studies. Her family has adjusted fairly well to life in the US, although her husband is not allowed to work because of his visa status as the spouse of a student. She remains closely connected to Asia Theological Seminary where she is on faculty. She continues to correspond with her department regularly during her studies.

Family: Joanna and her husband, Fernando, have one son, Mark, who is 14 years old.

Prayer Requests: Joanna and her family need prayer for good health and smooth adjustment to high school for Mark. In addition, she seeks prayer for wisdom to handle both her responsibilities in the states and concerns from family back home.
