School: Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology; Class of: 2009

Focus of Studies: John is researching the topic of ethnicity, with a focus on the work of the Holy Spirit within Acts.

About John: As part of the cohort at NEGST, John has completed more than two-thirds of his program. One of his greatest challenges is to forego many ministry opportunities while pursuing the rigorous workload of his program. John is part of the faculty development track at NEGST where he will join the faculty upon graduation. He will teach in the Biblical studies department.

Family: John and his wife, Jacinta, have three children—Mbagara, 23 years old; Nyambura, 21 years old; Kibui, 14 years old.

Prayer Requests: John asks that God will guide him to relevant materials, and hone his writing skills while helping him stay motivated and disciplined in his work. Additionally, he would like prayer for the health of himself and his family. Finally, he asks for prayer for peaceful political campaigns and election in his country.
