Jules Martinez, Puerto Rico

Studies:
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; Class of: 2010

Focus of Studies: Jules has a focus in theology, particularly helping the church grasp a deeper understanding of the Kingdom of God in a way that addresses the pressing justice issues of Latin America. He will look to build a sound, evangelical case for how belief in Jesus brings implications for social justice. This issue is particularly important in Latin America where much of the work in the areas of justice has been separated from sound theology, leaving a great void in the church.

About Jules: Jules came to faith as a senior in high school and developed a passion for helping others grow in faith. He has served as a pastor and teacher and feels called to teach and preach in a way that will develop future pastors who are well equipped to face the looming social, global, and theological issues facing the church in Latin America. Though many are officially part of a church, few truly know Christ. He will help develop leaders able to share from God's word and see the grace of Jesus Christ transform lives.

Family: Jules and his wife, Ana, welcomed their first child, Jules in February 2008.

Prayer Requests: Pray for Jules as he completes his studies in order to better serve the church in Latin America. Pray also for him and Ana as parents.
